Dr Patricia Wong

Dr Patricia Wong is an Obstetrics & Gynaecology Specialist who completed her initial undergraduate double-degree (Medical Science & MBBS) at the University of Melbourne.

Dr Wong spent one year at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne for her research project and currently works as a consultant at both SJOG Mt Lawley Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital. Her interests include all areas in general gynaecology for office gynaecology, colposcopy and operative gynaecology.

Dr Wong joined Fiona Stanley Hospital when it first opened in 2015 and has been part of the consultant body there ever since. She is currently the Junior Medical Doctor Lead, overseeing matters relating to junior doctors (rostering, orientation, recruitment, credentialing, ensuring junior doctor wellbeing and more). Dr Wong runs the Medical Disorders in Pregnancy Clinic regularly, seeing women with high risk pregnancies, coordinating their care with other specialities involved, while conducting multidisciplinary meetings and planning deliveries for these women.

Due to her Malaysian background, Dr Wong can speak multiple languages – Mandarin, Hokkien, Cantonese and Malay, which has served her well over the years and ensured that those whose first language is not English feel comfortable in her care.

Dr Wong is also a mother of two young children, enjoying her time outside of work with her family.
